WHO WE ARE
We’re Sanders de Roeper (Tim Sanders & Hatty de Roeper), a creative studio driven by a passion for self-expression, mark-making, and optimism. Between us, we have extensive experience in the fashion and graphic design industries. Together, we now design product that inspires connection, joy, and conversation. Our designs are playful and uplifting, encouraging self-belief and open dialogue about feelings. We believe in the power of inclusive, joyous art to heal, inspire, and bring people together.

OUR MESSAGE
Art that can set you free. In a world where resilience is key, we’re passionate about using design to convey empowering messages that become part of our everyday lives, planting seeds of positivity that can grow to help us navigate big feelings. To find the strength, when strength is needed. We aim to nurture individuality and enthusiasm in young hearts and minds, while rekindling childlike wonder in grown-ups too.

HOW WE GOT HERE
We met while studying graphic design (Tim) and fashion (Hatty) at Kingston University, London. Now, after almost 15 years of honing our skills with international brands, agencies and organisations, we have joined forces to make our own creative studio. We’re also married and have two kids. We now live and work in Hastings, UK, after relocating from London in 2021.

Tim Sanders
Designer & Co-founder

Growing up in Brighton, Tim was immersed in music, art, and culture, igniting a lifelong love of creativity. After studying Graphic Design at Kingston University London, he worked in design studios and agencies in London and Amsterdam, honing his craft in visual communication.

The passing of his mother, just before the pandemic, changed everything. He found solace in Posca pens and paper, turning drawing into a daily practice of mindfulness. It was then that Tim realised he wanted to create work with deeper meaning. At Sanders de Roeper, he makes bold, unapologetic design, infused with playfulness; a defining signature of the brand.

Hatty de Roeper
Designer & Co-founder

Hatty, born and raised in the Lake District, is a designer whose work is guided by instinct, honesty, and an innate need for creative expression. She trained at Newcastle College, Kingston University London, and the Royal College of Art, gaining experience at Alexander McQueen before designing for Topshop Unique, Tommy Hilfiger, and Stella McCartney Kids.

Drawing inspiration from her experiences, anxieties, comforts, obsessions, and special interests, Hatty creates work that brings joy, humour, and connection to everyday life.

Deia & Jasper
Our Kids

Becoming parents has been the biggest inspiration behind our brand. We feel it’s essential to nurture our kids to celebrate who they are, be expressive, and live their own unique lives with conviction. We aim to encourage resilience, helping them navigate tough times with greater ease. Ultimately, we want this for everyone, becoming part of a broader movement where self-love is championed as it should be.
